We carry out all our dental examination with great care, checking soft tissues in the face and neck and carrying out an oral cancer check. Then we focus on the soft tissues within your mouth, assessing the health of your gums by their general appearance and by gently probing the pockets between your teeth and your gums.
Deep pockets can sometimes indicate the early signs of gum disease which can lead to bone reduction and tooth loss. We will take x-rays when we feel it is clinically necessary and then take time to explain our findings and any recommended treatment that we have prescribed. You will always have clear and concise options together with transparent costs of any proposed treatment.
